Student Resources
Support, tools, and spaces designed to help you succeed—in the classroom, in the lab, and beyond.
CAHE offers a connected network of academic and student support services—from program-specific Learning Centers and peer tutoring to open lab hours, virtual library access, and IT help. Use these resources early and often to deepen your understanding, build confidence, and stay on track.
Academic Support
Learning Centers, study skills webinars, and peer tutoring provide structured support to help you master course material and prepare for exams.
Learning Spaces
Open lab sessions and virtual library resources give you flexible, high-quality environments to practice, review, and explore your field more deeply.
Connection & Support
Student life programming, 24/7 IT assistance, and the Student Hub keep you connected to people, information, and help when you need it.
Learning Centers
Facilitated group sessions, led by faculty, designed to help you revisit and reinforce key concepts from your courses.
The Learning Center provides structured, collaborative opportunities for you to review and reinforce key concepts learned in your courses. Sessions are guided by faculty and give you time to ask questions, work through examples, and connect ideas across lectures, labs, and clinical experiences.
Learning Centers are not a replacement for classroom instruction, but are intended to support students seeking a deeper understanding of course concepts. Sessions are scheduled throughout each term and provide a consistent space for reviewing course material, preparing for assessments, and developing effective study strategies.
These group sessions are tailored to the unique content, skills, and challenges in your specific program. Whether you're reviewing clinical concepts, reinforcing classroom material, or preparing for board exams, program-specific Learning Centers give you direct access to instructors who understand your field.
Students are required to register in advance for Learning Center sessions.
Study Skills Webinars
Live, interactive webinars offered twice per quarter by Student Services and Academic departments.
Study skills webinars are designed to share the habits, systems, and strategies commonly used by successful students. You will learn practical approaches you can apply immediately to your courses and clinical responsibilities.
-
Student Success Workshop
Start of each quarter
Focuses on time management, study skills, note-taking techniques, motivation, self-care, and academic support services.
-
Refocus & Reset: Your Path to Better Grades
Midway through each quarter
Helps you identify problem areas, refine your time management and review strategies, and create a personalized action plan for the remainder of the quarter.
Peer Tutoring
One-on-one or small group support from trained peers in eligible programs.
Peer tutoring is available to students enrolled in a program that is at least one year in length. CAHE's Peer Tutoring program is designed to provide remediation, boost academic performance, and build confidence in a relaxed, supportive environment.
Tutors can assist with a variety of courses across different programs. The goal is to help you achieve a deeper understanding of the concepts learned in both the classroom and clinical setting—beyond what can be covered during scheduled instruction time.
The Peer Tutoring program is not intended to replace classroom instruction or any other assistance offered by faculty; instead, it provides additional, student-driven support to help you succeed.
Virtual Library
Online access to high-quality academic databases to support your coursework and professional development.
Academic resources are available through the Library & Information Resources Network (LIRN). LIRN provides digital access to databases such as Gale, Infobase, Ovid, Primal Pictures, and ProQuest.
These resources offer up-to-date, in-depth access to journals and reference materials across a wide range of disciplines, helping you deepen your understanding of your profession and stay current with developments in the field.

Extra time, space, and guidance to practice hands-on skills and build confidence.
Open lab sessions are designed for students who want additional opportunities to practice skills, review techniques, and ask questions in a supportive, low-pressure environment.
Whether you're catching up on coursework, reinforcing hands-on skills, or preparing for check-offs and clinical expectations, these sessions allow you to learn at your own pace with access to knowledgeable instructors.
Open lab is a great way to gain confidence, receive targeted feedback, and make steady progress toward your academic and professional goals.
