1. How do I find out how much my program will cost? What is the refund policy?

Each program's tuition, fees and refund policy is published on the institution's website, as well as in the Institutional Catalog, Enrollment Agreement, and other materials. Contact the Financial Aid / Financial Services Department with questions.

2. What kind of financial aid is available?

CAHE participates in Title IV Federal Financial Aid (Federal Pell Grant, FSEOG, and Federal Direct Student and Parent PLUS Loans).

3. How can I find out more about how the financial aid process works?

4. Are veterans eligible for educational benefits at CAHE?

CAHE is not eligible for VA benefits at this time.

5. Where should I start?

Complete your FAFSA application so the financial aid department can determine your eligibility.

8. Am I tied in if I complete a FAFSA application?

No, a FAFSA is purely informational. Once CAHE receives your submitted FAFSA, the financial aid department can inform you of your eligibility; you are not obligated to anything.

9. Which FAFSA should I complete?

For programs beginning in February or May of this year, complete the 2024–2025 and 2025–2026 FAFSAs. You will need your and/or your parents' 2022 and 2023 Federal Income Tax information. For programs beginning in September 2025, complete only the 2025–2026 FAFSA.

10. Will I need my parent's info?

To determine if you are an independent student, visit studentaid.gov. If you are a dependent student, you will need to provide parental information. Open link

11. What is the maximum Pell Grant that I can receive?

The maximum Pell grant for 2025–2026 and 2026–2027 is $7,395.

12. What is the current interest rate on Federal Direct Loans?

The current interest rate for Subsidized and Unsubsidized student loans is 6.39%*, and the Parent PLUS loan rate is 8.94%*. (*As of July 1, 2025.)

13. How long will it take the financial aid department to get back to me?

The financial aid department may take up to a week to get back to you after submission of your FAFSA application.

14. How much am I eligible for?

The Financial Aid Department will determine your eligibility after completing the review of your processed FAFSA.

15. Are there any scholarships available?

16. What are the financial aid steps?

After you complete your FAFSA, our Financial Aid Office will send you a Financial Aid Offer / College Financing Plan, or a request for additional information via email. The email will outline the next steps.
