General Admission Requirements for CAHE
  • Applicants must be 18 years of age or older prior to orientation.
  • Applicants must be in good mental and physical health, free from any physical handicaps which would interfere with their work. Ultimately, individuals must meet the Technical Standards for Admissions listed for each program (see below).
  • Applicants must have completed a recognized high school or equivalent. No online high school diplomas will be accepted if high school is the highest level of education completed.
Diagnostic Medical Sonography

EMT Individuals with no prior EMT certification

Paramedic
  • Applicants must have a current NYS EMT certification (must be valid for the duration of the program).
  • Applicants must have four months of EMT experience or equivalent
Technical Standards
Paramedic Refresher
Students must have a current or expired New York State EMT-Paramedic certification. Technical Standards
Radiation Therapy
Applicants must hold at minimum an Associate Degree from a regionally accredited institution. Technical Standards
Radiography

CT Registry Prep Course
Students must be a currently registered with the ARRT or NMTCB as either Radiologic Technologist, Nuclear Medicine Technologist or Radiation Therapist.
MRI Registry Prep Course
Students must be a currently registered with the ARRT or NMTCB as either Radiologic Technologist, Nuclear Medicine Technologist, Radiation Therapist or Diagnostic Medical Sonographer.
