Career Development Workshops

The Career Development Workshop series is designed to provide students with instruction and assistance with building their resumes, cover letters, and thank-you letters; as well as creating a LinkedIn profile, obtaining professional references, and creating a job search portfolio. Students will learn about the interview process and develop interviewing skills and strategies. Students may be provided with the opportunity to attend a mock interview or job fair. The Career Development Workshop series is a co-curricular graduation requirement for all students enrolled in CAHE.

Upon completion of the Workshops, students will:

• ✓ Possess a resume and cover letter describing their educational and clinical experiences.
• ✓ Be capable of writing an appropriate thank-you note or email as a follow-up to an interview.
• ✓ Have an online professional profile on LinkedIn.
• ✓ Understand the potential implications of their social media presence on their career.
• ✓ Have a set of skills and strategies for interviewing, whether online or in person.
