Student Leadership

Developing leaders who drive engagement and excellence at CAHE.

"The quality of leadership, more than any other single factor, determines the success or failure of an organization."

— Fred Fiedler and Martin Chemers, Improving Leadership Effectiveness

About the Student Leadership Committee

The Student Leadership Committee plays an integral role in CAHE students' academic and social lives. Class representatives are selected from various cohorts and act as a liaison between CAHE's administration and fellow classmates to streamline communication, drive student engagement and participation, and encourage strong academic performance. The committee provides essential organizational support and insight for student-focused events and activities throughout the year.

Class Representatives

The Student Leadership Committee is an excellent opportunity for students to develop their leadership skills. A Class Representative ("Class Rep") is selected for each cohort to be the voice of that cohort within the committee. Class reps attend quarterly Thursday evening meetings during the academic year, where they meet with administration to hear updates and give insight on how CAHE can achieve its goal of constant improvement.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Serving on Advisory Boards
  • Uniting the institution and the various healthcare programs offered
  • Helping to identify areas and policies that can be adjusted to better serve the needs of the community
  • Coordinating various charity events throughout the academic year
  • Representing the institution at various events throughout the academic year, such as regularly scheduled Open Houses

How can I become a Class Representative?

Details on how to apply will be provided at orientation. All nominees are reviewed by a committee and representatives are announced during the second quarter of their program.
