How do I find out how much my program will cost? What is the refund policy?

Each program's tuition, fees and refund policy is published on the institution's website, as well as in the Institutional Catalog, Enrollment Agreement and other materials. We encourage any prospective students to review all financial-related program information and to contact the Financial Aid Departments with any questions.

What kind of financial aid is available?

CAHE participates in Title IV Federal Financial Aid.

Are veterans eligible for educational benefits at CAHE?

CAHE is not approved to offer VA Benefits at this time.

Applicants should start by completing their FAFSA application so that our Financial Aid Department can determine their eligibility.

Which FAFSA should I complete?

  • For programs beginning in May of this year: Please complete the 2025-2026 and 2026-2027 FAFSAs. You will need your and/or your parents' 2023 and 2024 Federal Income Tax information.
  • For programs beginning in September 2026: Please complete only the 2026-2027 FAFSA.

Am I tied in if I complete a FAFSA application?

No—a FAFSA is purely informational. Once CAHE receives your submitted FAFSA application, the Financial Aid Department can review it and inform you of your eligibility. However, you are not obligated or committed to anything by completing it.

Will I need my parent's info?

To determine whether you are considered an independent student, please visit the Federal Student Aid website. If you are classified as a dependent student, you will be required to provide your parent(s)' information as part of your FAFSA application.

What is the maximum Pell Grant that I can receive?

The maximum Pell Grant for the 2026–2027 award year is $7,395. The maximum grant amount for 2027–2028 has not yet been published.

How much am I eligible for?

The Financial Aid Department will determine your eligibility after completing the review of your processed FAFSA.

What is the current interest rate on Federal Direct Loans?

  • Federal Direct Subsidized and Unsubsidized Loans: 6.52%
  • Federal Direct PLUS Loan: 9.07%

Rates effective July 1, 2026.

How long will it take the Financial Aid Department to get back to me?

The Financial Aid Department may take up to a week to get back to you upon submission of your FAFSA application.

What are the financial aid steps?

After you complete your FAFSA, our Financial Aid Office will send you a College Financing Plan (CFP), or a request for additional information via email. The email will outline the steps needed to move forward with the financial aid process.
