At Center for Allied Health Education, we believe that a major component to our students’ success is their involvement within the surrounding community. This is largely what CAHE’s Student Government Association (SGA) is about! The organization is used as a platform to engage others through action, by allowing them to learn and demonstrate key skills, as well as to apply leadership qualities to all SGA and center-wide events. Members of the Student Government Association strive to lead their peers by example, giving every student the opportunity to become a role model within the community.
The Student Leadership Committee recently hosted “CAHE Gives Back,” a month that allowed students and staff to donate their gently used coats and packaged food items to those in need. We extend our deepest gratitude to all who participated and helped to warm up the holiday season for those who are less fortunate. All donations were submitted just in time for the holidays.
On December 21, 2016, students, staff and recent alumni joined in celebration of the holiday season. We invite you to visit CAHE’s Facebook (NYMH Center for Allied Health Education) and Instagram (@center4alliedhe) pages for photos from this great event!
The holidays are always more enjoyable when everyone gets into the holiday spirit! Last week, dozens of students took advantage of Ugly/Unique Holiday Sweater Day and dressed up with their cohorts.
Thank you to all of our students and staff who were so enthusiastically involved! 75+ individuals wore their sweaters and got into the holiday spirit!
CAHE would like to wish everyone a happy and healthy holiday season, as well as a wonderful year ahead.
In September of 1787, the Founding Fathers signed the most influential document in American history: the United States Constitution. Today, our students celebrate Constitution Day!
